A fantastic opportunity to join the International Business Development team of a global business insurance and services company. Based in Germany, we are searching for an experienced and talented NEW BUSINESS development director or senior manager who will Lead, manage and win new business across the territory.
As this is a newly created position, the role will require the research, identification and structuring of appropriate potentials or prospects that are viable and meet the business strategy & criteria. We are looking for an individual who has experience of structuring robust process around the identification, development and targeting of the prospect database and who can then target, contact and nurture and development through the sales cycle.
We are looking for a passionate individual who displays enthusiasm, gravitas, and has a natural ability and track record of building a network of professional working relationships. It is essential that the candidate is a native German Speaker with good written and verbal English, and it is essential that the candidate has experience of international insurance or experience from within Financial Services.
The successful candidate will be very comfortable as a new business ‘hunter’ and will ideally be experienced with complex, lengthy sales process – therefore experienced at consultative selling, targeting clients, providing a high level of insight, background research and experience of presenting compelling business cases.
The role reports directly into the International Lead for Business Development, who will provide direction and support. Although this is a newly created position there is an existing account management team in place within the business, colleagues based in Germany and Austria, and existing data, leads and relationships.
